Pet X-ray and Pet Ultrasound
At Crystal Springs Pet Hospital, we utilize ultrasound technology and X-rays to help our team diagnose illnesses and ailments in our patients.
Pet X-ray and Pet Ultrasound
Our on-site, modern digital X-ray equipment and ultrasound machine provide high-quality images to help quickly diagnose many disorders. X-rays can be used to identify:
- Fractures
- Arthritis
- Abdominal masses
- Bladder stones
- Foreign bodies
- Other internal problems
We send our X-ray images to consulting experts electronically to get a further diagnosis or to confirm what we see. These results are typically ready within a day or two and sometimes faster.
Ultrasound can be used independently or in conjunction with X-rays to identify problems. This imaging type can identify heart disease, pancreatitis, and underlying cancers. Many clinics require an outside specialist to come in and perform the ultrasound, but by having our own machine, we can typically do ultrasounds on the same day as your visit if needed. In the case of an emergency, this can save you the hassle and expense of a trip to a specialty or emergency clinic.
